The Weekly Fav 5: Five More Great Financial Posts for You to Check Out

Hey, $$ buddie$!

Hope things are going well for Y’all. We took a bit of a money hit today, involving our home owners insurance (there will be an upcoming post about it), but other than that we’re doing well.

It’s August in South Central Texas and it’s a little after 3:00 pm as I type this, inside, in the air conditioning, of course.

Yep, we hide from the heat.

So, I’ve been perusing the Inter-Web for great stuff, as well as taking care of some financial issues.

Now, for the important stuff, the Weekly Fav Five!

How Many Summers Do You Have Left? – Passive Income M.D.

Very interesting read, especially since I’m 57, am a heart patient, and have lost both my parents before they hit 70. Probably not eye catching for somebody in their 20’s, but I wish I’d had these thoughts, and ambition, back then.

“The bottom line is that none of us have a lot of time. It’s a cliché, but tomorrow isn’t guaranteed.”

Wealthy Affiliate Review 2017Wealthy Affiliate Review 2017 – Rags to Niche$

I’ve been blogging since late 2015, with nothing but expenses. Now, honestly, I didn’t start blogging to make money, but I sure wouldn’t mind doing so.

I came upon this post while checking out another review and immediately joined Wealthy Affiliate, just minutes ago.

If you’re interested in learning how you might make money online, check it out. I’ll keep y’all posted on how things work out for me.

The Other Clutter – Amanda Page (via Rockstar Finance)

Clutter, OMG, do I have clutter. My wife and I own two houses, our current house, and a rental, which used to be ours, where our Son and Daughter in Law live.

Yep, we’ve still got clutter at the old house.

Thing is, I’ve learned, that I don’t just have physical clutter, I also have personal clutter. Amanda’s post shed light on that, so one of my major goals is to de-clutter the houses, my brain, and my soul.

How We Made $12,220 in One Month Of Flipping Flea Market Items – FM Flipper (via Rockstar Finance)

This one caught my eye as I’m all about learning how to make extra $$. Really, though, $12K+ in one month, flipping Flea Market items.

Check out how it can be done at FM Flipper.

Who knows, you may be able to flip “interesting stuff” into $$$.

Why is money taboo? Because of our complete lack of empathy. Why is Money Taboo? Because Of Our Complete Lack of Empathy – David Carlson @ Young Adult Money

This one I can relate to, not only because it has the word Taboo in the title. 😉 No, I understand where David is coming from and will admit that I’ve been guilty of the negatives that he writes about, even after starting up Money is not Taboo.

Having never had college debt, I really have to try and put myself in the shoes of those that have. I’ve learned a ton from David, in regards to his and his wife’s combined school debt.

Yep, there’s some good stuff in this one, too.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

So, there you have 5 more great reads. I’m sure you’ll get some good stuff from each of them. Let me know if you do or don’t.

And . . . let me know of great reads that I should check out and pass on.

Until next time, Peace!  Shin
